2008 Concert Series

The TPAG Committee is very excited to present our next concert which is a unique event for Tuxedo!

Musically, the concert will comprise acoustic jazz interspersed with gospel melodies. In a delightful garden setting with a backdrop of an elegant Tuxedo Park home, built in 1910 and designed by famous architect James Brown Lord, we will enjoy the ambience of a springtime alfresco musicale. In the case of rain, the concert will be held in St. Mary's Church.

Todd Williams has brought together for this event a group of seven singers, pianist Brandon McCune, drums, bass, and himself, of course, on tenor sax. As a musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist, Todd has two of America's great passions -- gospel and jazz. He brings these two genres together at the Haber House Garden on May 24th.

As a jazz musician, Todd recorded and performed with Wynton Marsalis throughout the early 90's and was a founding member of Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.  As a gospel musician, he worked for thirteen years at Times Square Church in varied capacities such as Director of Music and Director of Songwriting.  Currently, he is teaching at Tuxedo Park School and performing around the USA and internationally.
