The Malkin Duo was formed in 1996. That year the sisters were winners of the Artist International Series Auditions, leading to a debut recital at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall, where they have performed since, as well as in Israel, Italy and throughout the USA. In 2003 the sisters were the winners of the Trinity Concert Series Auditions.

Anat Malkin-Almani began her violin studies at the age of five, her first international tour at age ten, and made her Carnegie Hall debut at age sixteen. She has been a soloist with Westchester Philharmonic, New York String Orchestra, San Diego Young Artists Orchestra, Hawthorne Symphony, and the Manhattan School of Music Philharmonia, among others. 

Bracha Malkin, a graduate of The Curtis Institute, has been a featured violinist of the St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony and Ural Philharmonic, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Nederlands Promenade Orchestra, Manhattan School of Music Symphony, and the Westchester Philharmonic, among others. Ms. Malkin has soloed in such venues as the Concertgebouw, has given recitals in St. Petersburg, Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem, and is a winner of the Wieniawski International Violin Competition as well as the Paganini International Violin Competition.

The Malkin Duo is accompanied on the piano by Eduard Laurel who has performed worldwide. He is a member of the Easternmost Piano Quartet and is on the staff at The Julliard School and Mannes College of Music.
